CrownRing was invented by JJ Walter, an independent inventor working from his home workshop in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Living with physical disabilities, JJ began experimenting with bicycle drivetrains to overcome his own limitations and make cycling easier.
Years of experimentation led to the development of CrownRing, a drivetrain designed to make better use of the rider's natural strength curve throughout the pedal stroke.
Today, CrownRing is patent-pending, with several working prototypes having been developed and extensively tested.
What began as a personal solution has become an invention with the potential to benefit everyday riders.
The one underlying concept, Adapt the drivetrain to the rider, not the rider to the drivetrain.
